When the darkest of shadows is your brightest hope…

Modern-day Edinburgh. Psychic Myrrh devotes her days to contacting other people’s lost loved ones, all the while waiting for a sign that never comes from her dear departed Frank. Meanwhile, in the vaults and alleyways of the Old Town, the phenomenon of streetslip is growing stronger, tearing down the walls of time and allowing grisly characters from the past to prey on the present. Someone else’s problem? Myrrh thinks so, until her best friend Willow disappears and then it suddenly becomes personal. About Sandra

Sandra lives on the east coast of Scotland and has two grown-up sons and a dog called Lucy. A spell working for a local newspaper convinced her that it was her destiny to write, but probably not about council elections and garbage issues! She is now three-quarters through a degree in English and Creative Writing, and teaches would-be writers locally. Sandra is also a Reiki Master and interested in all things holistic, spiritual and supernatural, which is probably why she includes a healthy dose of magic in her writing. Who doesn’t believe in magic?!

  1. Congrats on the releases!

  2. Congrats all and can't wait to read more!!

  3. Thank you! And congrats to all of the other authors with new releases this month!! :)

  4. Congrats on all the releases... Here is my question for all of you... Do you find it easy to write a short/quick story or a longer 150 or more page book?

    1. Congrats to all the other new releases and thanks to all who stopped by!
@Jeanette--It's quicker for me to write a novella, but not always easier. Just takes less time.

    2. Hello to all of you and congratulations to all new releases! Sorry I'm a bit late- different time zone! To answer your question,Jeanette, I find short stories quite tricky, because you don't have a lot of space to get inside your character's head, if that makes sense!

    3. Hi Jeanette - I find short stories easier to write because of time, but longer books for more time to get into a character.

    4. Hello, Jeanette! The shorter stories definitely take less time to write, but I'm not sure they're any easier. When I start writing, I usually know approximately how long the story is going to be and what has to happen.

  5. Congrats to all releases. Your book is finally polished, covered and running amuck. Now market, market, market!
If only we could just write and toss out the door.

  6. Congrats to everyone! Best wishes for your releases :)

  7. These sound like great stories! Congratulations on the new releases. Thanks!

  8. Congrats to everyone. Best of luck with your books.

  9. First of all, Congratulations to all of you. Secondly, until a year and a half ago, the only books I was reading were mysteries. A friend insisted I read Twilight, and, well, to say I got hooked is putting it mildly. I have fallen in love with the paranormal genre. I now help out on several street teams and am even employed as an Acquisitions Scout for a publishing company. I am just starting to Beta read,I am hoping I enjoy that aspect. I am partial to the Shifters. There is just something about a sexy male shifter that draws me in and it doesn't matter if they are wolf, jaguar, dragon.....etc. My question would be this: Do you base your characters on your friends and family members? What aspects of their personality do you use? What physical attributes have you adopted for your characters? Thank you for the giveaway.

    1. Hello! I don't base my characters on friends or family members, but I do base aspects of a character's personality on people I know. :) As for physical attributes, my heroes are generally all of the same build. But I guess that's personal preference. LOL

  10. I'm so excited by all the posts, my tbr pile is growing taller (though I read in ebook form, so i guess that's the wrong word, longer, yeah, that's it). levanmichelle@yahoo.com

  11. Congrats on the releases! Thanks for the awesome giveaway! I have a whole bunch of new books for my wishlist now!

  12. Congrats, everyone! Ute - your book sounds yummy. Adding it to my to read list.
